We can order most major brands, makes & models if we do not have them in stock and pride ourselves in usually being able to deliver your new appliance within a week, quite often on the same day of purchase if we have it in stock!*

We can deliver, install and remove your old appliance for a fee, these are listed below.

*Same day can usually be done if drop off only at an extra charge of £20. If installation is also required then the same day is not always possible if it’s not a typical install day.

Pre-install checks & What we cover/don’t cover

Make sure there’s easy access and enough space for our installation team to get your new appliance in place. Check your new appliance will fit in the required space by measuring up, if you have an old machine we would recommend using it as a guide. If you have steps we will need to know this when delivery is arranged. If you have a stairlift in the way we will need to arrange a pre-install visit to check your machine will fit. For washing machines and washer dryers: If you’re starting from scratch be mindful of the pipes at the back of the machine which can take up to 7cm (3cm for integrated) of room so you’ll need to factor that in no matter which make and model you choose.
If you have selected just our drop off service and require your old appliance taken away this will need to be disconnected and outside ready for collection. If you need us to disconnect your old appliance for you please let us know when arranging delivery.
We’ll get your new appliance unpacked and connect it up to a water supply if it’s a washer/washer dryer/dishwasher and plug it in to a standard socket.
Once your new appliance is installed we’ll take a picture of it for our records.
For washing machines once it’s connected we will run an empty 60 degree cotton wash to calibrate the machine. Do not touch the machine until it has completely finished it’s cycle.
For fridges and freezers we will plug it in to a standard socket but we can’t switch it on- as it has been in transit the gases inside need 4 hours to settle so once this has been done you will be able to switch it on.
We won’t be able to install if your new appliance needs to be hardwired or if there isn’t a plug socket within 1 metre of where it’s going.
If there’s an issue with your plumbing we won’t be able to install. If your water flow is not working correctly or you’re missing necessary parts, we will have to terminate the install and re-arrange.
We can’t make any changes to the plumbing or electrics in your house.
We can’t install electric/gas ovens- this requires a qualified electrician/gas safe engineer to install. We have several freelance engineers we highly recommend and can give you the phone number of to arrange to connect your new cooker.
We can no longer install integrated appliances but can put you in touch with a reliable local engineer to carry out the install. They will need paying separately to us.

Our terms & conditions

The customer is responsible for measuring access for our delivery team when delivering large appliances. (Unless a pre-install visit has been arranged) If our installation team have to terminate due to pre-installation checks not being carried out we will charge a delivery fee of £10 for an unsuccessful callout.
Any damage to the appliance or units which has occurred during installation must be reported to us within 48hrs by phone (01271 813111) or email (info@sleeshomehardware.co.uk). We will require photographic evidence of the damage for our records. We will not be held liable for damages reported to us after the duration.
Do not install or use any damaged items- this counts as acceptance of goods and deems them non-returnable.
We cannot be held liable for any damage to flooring, therefore we recommend you protect any floorings the delivery team may use during delivery.
If you select our drop off service we are no longer responsible for the appliance once it is placed in your chosen location. We are not liable for any damages incurred after this.
Our installation team are not qualified electricians or plumbers. They can do the basics (unplugging/plugging in standard sockets, disconnecting/connecting water pipes & turning water off and on) but anything more complex will require a third party engineer, this includes cooker installations.
If you have a stairlift and our pre-install visit doesn’t allow enough space for our team to get your new appliance in you will need to contact the company you bought the stairlift off of to arrange for them to dismantle the components which are blocking access. Please make the company aware of the specific situation as the stairlift can only be put back together once the installation team have finished. We are not liable for any additional charges this could incur.
Any special order items require a deposit up front for the order to be placed. This deposit covers the following: Cancellation: £49.99 per item (for appliances which would be unsellable in our area). £10 for all other items. Re-handling of incomplete, unwanted items: up to 50% subject to manufacturer. Re-handling is only charged if the customer rescinds the order after the latest date they could cancel.
If an item is ordered incorrectly or in error and no longer required a returns charge will be made. See charges above. Items are only returnable if they are in a boxed as new condition.
Regarding Special Orders we can give an estimated delivery date but this is not set in stone and is subject to change. We can not be held liable for any delays in the delivery date- this is down to manufacturing/transit delays not retailer delays.
Customers may assist the delivery team at their own risk.
Once the delivery has been accepted at the delivery address, you have a duty of care for the goods. If you or a third party transport the goods from the delivery address to another location, we cannot be held liable.
If a fault occurs within 30 days of delivery we will swap it like for like on our next earliest delivery day and providing we have the same model in stock.
If a fault occurs after 30 days but within 6 months we will require you to contact the manufacturer and schedule an engineer at your earliest convenience to verify the appliance is faulty. Once the engineer has verified it’s faulty you will need to obtain an uplift number which we can then use to take back the appliance and exchange like for like on our next earliest delivery day and providing we have the same model in stock.
If a fault occurs after 6 months we are no longer responsible for the appliance and you will need to contact the manufacturer and arrange a repair or replacement via them.
Manufacturers will not cover faults caused by accidents, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.
